Sleeping Night

Author's Note: In class we had to write a character development instead I did a creative piece. Instead of writing a essay ob character development  I wrote a essay on Sleepwalking. In this essay I hope you hear all about the researches I did.

When I saw my brother with his eyes open and heading to the kitchen I knew something was up. That’s when I decide to follow him. I called his name out 5 times but he couldn’t hear me. I thought that he was ignoring me, so when I taped him on the shoulder he started to snore. That’s when I realize he was a sleep. Right at that very moment I ran in my parents room and whispered in my dad’s ear. “ Dad Eric’s sleepwalking.” “WHAT???” My dad replied slowly waking up. Eric is sleepwalking. That’s when  I  became curious  on sleepwalking. When sleepwalkers sleepwalk what makes them act the way they do? What causes sleepwalking? When I started doing research on sleepwalking the following things below I thought were interesting.

When people start to fall asleep, sleepwalking happens right in the beginning of sleep. It either goes on for a hour or a few seconds. During sleepwalk people don’t have to walk around, some simply sit up in bed and look around. Sleep walking normally occurs when someone is stressed, has a fever, or even it might run in the family.

You would think that sleepwalkers would act out their dream or what’s on their mind? The real thing is that they act out what they did during the day. Some of the rare things that I heard that someone did was they brushed their teeth. Another thing Is that they did the dishes. The average sleepwalker just gets up and walks around not doing any task.

Overall, many people misunderstand what sleepwalking is. Just because it’s called sleepwalking doesn’t necessarily mean you have to be walking. Sleepwalking can happen to anyone but normally it happens to people who are under stress , has a fever or it just runs in the family. Sleepwalking isn’t bad for you it’s just what people do.
